From the 2026–2027 school year, Vietnam will use the "Connecting Knowledge with Life" textbook set unified nationwide, towards the goal of free textbooks for students by 2030.

Implementing the commitment to improve book quality in parallel with reducing production and circulation costs, Vietnam Education Publishing House (NXBGDVN) said that the price of textbooks for the 2026-2027 school year from grades 1 to 12 has been adjusted, down an average of 13.3% compared to the price of textbooks of the previous school year.

In addition to newly printed textbooks in 2026, all textbooks and homework books printed from 2025 and earlier (except for book titles in the list of textbooks that have been revised and approved in 2026 specified in section 3) currently circulating in schools, libraries, publishing units, student families... will continue to be used and reused normally to serve the teaching and learning work of teachers and students.

For some textbooks with updated and adjusted content according to new administrative boundaries and socio-economic statistics..., NXBGDVN has organized a review, completion and publication of the updated version in PDF form on the online system.

Readers, teachers, students and educational institutions can access, look up and use updated textbooks for free at: https://taphuan. nxbgd. vn

In 2026, the Ministry of Education and Training approved 11 revised textbooks according to Circular No. 17/2025/TT-BGDĐT dated September 12, 2025, including:

Primary and secondary school levels: History and Geography (grades 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

High school level: History 10, Study Topic History 10, Economic and Legal Education 10, Geography 12 and Study Topic Geography 12.

NXBGDVN said that it will organize the printing and distribution of textbooks in the above list in 2026. For books of the same name printed from 2025 and earlier, NXBGDVN will not continue to distribute them. However, teachers and students can still use these textbooks as reference materials.
