University admission scores 2026 may decrease in blocks A01, C00, D01
The high school graduation exam scores of more than 1.2 million candidates and the score distribution of traditional university admission blocks were announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on the morning of July 1. This is an important basis for determining the university benchmark scores for 2026.
From analyzing the score distribution, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc, University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, predicts that top schools and "hot" majors will have scores reduced by about 1 to 3 points. Especially this year, the C00 block scores will decrease significantly. As for other combinations, the fluctuation range is about 1 point and will be stable at the level of 15 to 20 points.

Dak Lak supplements 584 public 10th grade enrollment quotas
On July 2nd, at the 2nd Session of the 11th Dak Lak Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, in the plenary session on issues of concern to voters, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province informed about the 10th grade enrollment and some contents related to the education sector.
According to Ms. Xuan, the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026 - 2027 school year in the province is organized in two methods. In which, entrance exams are applied at 5 schools, including 2 specialized high schools and 3 ethnic minority boarding high schools; the remaining public high schools implement admission consideration.
This year, the number of students registering for the entrance exam increased sharply, with over 40,000 candidates registering. The enrollment rate for 10th grade also increased compared to the requirements for classifying students after secondary school. Compared to the previous school year, the number of students registering for the entrance exam increased by more than 3,000.
Ms. Xuan said that in the process of organizing enrollment, the unit has closely followed the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, and at the same time paid attention to the specific characteristics of the number of ethnic minority students and learning conditions in each locality.
Regarding the feedback from parents and students after announcing the admission benchmark scores, Ms. Xuan said that some students who were not admitted to nguyện vọng 1 faced difficulties in registering and submitting applications to the school according to nguyện vọng 2. Faced with this situation, the Department of Education and Training quickly reviewed and adjusted the enrollment plan.
