Warning discipline, stopping teaching, teacher punishes student with needle
On April 24, Ben Cat Ward People's Committee (HCMC) reported on the results of handling the case of teachers of Luong The Vinh Primary School violating teacher ethics, which caused public outrage in recent days.

Previously, on April 15, information spread on social networks reflecting the fact that a 3rd grade teacher asked a student to violate the regulations by holding a syringe and pricking his hand. According to parents, their children showed signs of fatigue and fear after returning home from school. Not only one case, some other students were also subjected to similar "fines" when talking, not taking a nap or violating regulations.
The Board of Directors of Luong The Vinh Primary School later confirmed that the incident occurred in grade 3-6, related to teacher L.T. M. Through working, 5 students committed the act of self-injecting needles into their hands as requested by the teacher.
The teacher reported that he bought a needle to use for his sick child, then put it on the table and said that the violating student "self-inflicted a needle on his hand", not directly performing this act. The school assessed that this is a serious act, violating professional ethics, infringing upon children's health and rights.
After consideration, the school's Disciplinary Council unanimously applied the form of warning to Ms. L.T. M - homeroom teacher of grade 3. 6. At the same time, this teacher was assigned to be in charge of the equipment room, not continuing to teach. See more...

On April 24, about 5,000 students from high schools in 5 northern provinces and cities were present in Hanoi, participating in Future Fest - a festival to learn and explore the picture of 64 majors and occupations organized by Phuong Dong University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Cuong, Rector of Phuong Dong University emphasized: The core goal of Future Fest is not "choosing a school", but "choosing the right major". When learners understand themselves clearly, have a correct understanding of the profession and have practical experience, the ability to make appropriate decisions will be much higher.
We do not aim for how many students come here to register for the school. More importantly, students find a major that suits their abilities and passions, thereby having a sustainable future, avoiding wasting time and social resources" - Mr. Cuong said. See more...
