Candidates can see the results of the first round of the VNU-HCM competency assessment exam today
On April 16, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the results of the first round of the Competency Assessment (affection) exam in 2025. Candidates can look up points on the website https://thinangluc.vnuhcm.edu.vn/dgnl/.
In 126,297 exams, the average score is 618.4 points; 142 candidates achieved over 1,000 points, the highest was 1,060 points and the lowest was 40 points. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh said that distributing exam scores close to the standards helps classify candidates well, making it convenient for admission. This year, Ho Chi Minh City National University did not send a hard copy of the exam results certificate but switched to issuing an electronic certificate. From April 21, candidates can access the website to download the certificate.
Round 2 of the National High School Exam will take place on Sunday, June 6 in 11 provinces and cities. Candidates can register to take the exam from April 17 to May 7 on the exam's information portal. See more...

New regulations on summer vacation for teachers and staff at schools
The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Circular No. 05/2025/TT-BGDDT, effective from April 22, 2025, replacing Circular 28/2009 after 16 years of application. Circular 05 stipulates the working regime for general education teachers and teachers of pre-university schools, and supplements regulations on annual leave for principals and vice principals.
Principals and Vice Principals have summer vacation like teachers, but must ensure that they do not take a break at the same time to maintain school activities. Teachers have 2 months of summer vacation, including leave under the 2019 Labor Code, and are still entitled to full salary and allowances if any.
The Circular does not stipulate summer vacation for school staff. Employees who are civil servants in the education sector, work under working hours and are entitled to annual leave according to the provisions of the Labor Code: from 12 to 16 days depending on working conditions. Hanoi spends more than 69 billion VND to build a secondary school in Son Tay town
The Hanoi People's Committee has approved the Project to build 4 Hanoi Food - Tourism and Fashion College (phase 1) in Son Tay town. The project aims to train a highly skilled and skilled workforce to meet the development needs of the capital's tourism and economic sector, while improving the learning and working environment in schools.
The project belongs to group B, level III, with a total investment of more than 69 billion VND, implemented from 2023 - 2025, with a term of use of 50 years. The scale includes building a new headquarters combined with a hall and library, a cooking practice area, auxiliary works, teaching equipment, pumping station, transformer station, functional room system and fire prevention and fighting.
