Universities consider re-admitting the C00 combination
Hanoi Open University has just adjusted its admission plan, adding the traditional combination C00 (Literature, History, Geography) to the group of majors of Law (including Law, Economic Law and International Law), in addition to previously announced combinations such as D01, C01, C03 and C step 14. The school representative said that the addition of this combination is to expand opportunities for candidates, creating favorable conditions for admission.

On the same day, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) also announced the re-admission of the C00 group for 17 training majors, and added two new groups, C03 and C04, to 26 majors. The majors that re-admit C00 include Journalism, Public Relations, International Studies, Psychology, Sociology... are all majors with a tradition of using the combination of Literature, History, and Geography.
This move took place after the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Letter 2864, requesting schools to adjust their admission plans to ensure fairness and rights for candidates. Previously, a series of schools removed the C00 combination close to the high school graduation exam date, causing students to have difficulty in their admission orientation, causing parents and candidates to worry and be upset. Nghe An still lacks more than 4,000 teachers
Nghe An Department of Education and Training said that although the locality has invested heavily in education with nearly VND 60,000 billion from the budget for the period 2021-2025, the province still lacks more than 4,000 teachers and has 882 satellite schools, causing difficulties in organizing teaching and infrastructure investment. Although the merger of schools has reduced the number of individual points, it has led to an overload at the main school level due to lack of facilities.
The shortage of teachers mainly falls in the subjects of Information Technology, English, Music, Fine Arts and new subjects according to the 2018 general education program. The recruitment has not kept up with the progress of assigning staff quotas. Meanwhile, vocational education still lacks high-quality teachers, especially in schools in remote areas and ethnic minorities, due to the inappropriate policy of attracting high-quality human resources.
Facing the above situation, Nghe An Education sector proposes to adjust the outdated mechanism, promulgating policies to attract teachers about disadvantaged areas, recruiting enough payroll and strengthening the training of existing teachers. At the same time, proposing to promote the merger of small schools, invest in ethnic minority schools, semi -boarding and improve the facilities of degraded schools to improve the quality of education in the whole province.
