Mr. Do Ngoc Anh - Director of the Center for Communication and Admissions of Hanoi Open University - said that the school added the C00 combination for 3 majors of Law, Economic Law and International Law along with the published combinations: D01 (Math, Literature, English), C01 (Math, Literature, Physics), C03 (Math, Literature, History), C14 (Math, Literature, Economic and Legal Education).
According to Mr. Ngoc Anh, using existing admission combinations for 2 basic subjects: Math, Literature and adding the C00 combination will create opportunities for many candidates to be admitted to the school.
In 2025, the school plans to enroll 4,140 students in 21 majors with a variety of admission methods including: direct admission; considering academic records (for Biotechnology, Food Technology); considering academic records or high school graduation exam scores combined with talent test scores (for Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design and Architecture); considering the results of the HAS competency assessment test, TSA thinking assessment; considering high school graduation exam scores in 2025.
Hanoi Open University does not use the results of the Foreign Language exam exemption in the high school graduation exam for admission; The school converts Foreign Language scores for candidates with a valid international foreign language certificate as of August 14, 2025.
Also on the same day, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) announced the addition of two new combinations, C03 (Math, Literature, History) and C04 (Math, Literature, Geography) to 26 training majors.
At the same time, the C00 traditional combination (Literature, History, Geography) is also supplemented for 17 training majors, including: Journalism, Social Work, Cinema and mass Arts, Asian studies, Korean studies, Management Science, Public Relations, Information Management, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Hotel Management, Office Management, International Studies, Psychology, Information - Library, Culture, Vietnamology and Sociology.
This move of the schools took place after the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Letter No. 2864/BGDDT-GDDH requesting training institutions to review and adjust the enrollment plan to ensure fairness and rights for candidates.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, in the 2025 admission season, a series of schools such as the Academy of Journalism and Communication, the University of Quyet, Hanoi Open University... announced the removal of the traditional admission combination C00 and organized admission through other groups.
The fact that schools announce the high school graduation exam date close to the exam date has put students in a difficult situation and they cannot cope. Therefore, parents and students all expect schools to re-open admission to this group.
