Be careful when choosing wishes based on recent years' benchmark scores
Each school has a formula for converting benchmark scores, candidates are confused
In 2025, a new point in university admissions is that schools must convert the benchmark scores between admission methods and admission combinations to a common scale to ensure fairness. However, in reality, each school has its own conversion method, causing a significant difference between scores and making it difficult for candidates to follow. Some schools do not announce a clear formula, only stating the final conversion results, causing students to spend a lot of time researching and calculating.

Many candidates reported feelings of confusion and overload when having to process a lot of confusing information from schools, especially when using many admission methods. The same scores for the competency assessment exam but the conversion scores for the 30-level scale are different between schools, causing inconsistency and concerns about unfairness. Not only students, parents also feel confused and worried when they do not clearly understand how to calculate scores.
Admissions experts recommend that candidates should proactively study the regulations carefully, not rely too much on the benchmark scores of previous years. Candidates only need to arbitrarily arrange according to their preferences, choose the school and major; the system will automatically choose the most beneficial admission combination/metody. While general admission data is processed by the Ministry of Education and Training, schools will process their own admission data. See more...
