The Politburo requests the provision of a nationwide unified set of textbooks
The Politburo issued Resolution 71 on breakthroughs in education and training development, which requires reviewing the implementation of the General Education Program, ensuring the provision of a unified set of textbooks nationwide, striving to provide free textbooks for all students by 2030.
Previously, Resolution 88/2014/QH13 of the National Assembly stipulated a program, many sets of books, and encouraged the socialization of SGK compilation, in order to improve quality, fight against monopoly and comply with international trends. The Ministry of Education and Training was once assigned to compile a textbook with a loan of 16 million USD from the World Bank, but it has not been completed yet due to many reasons.
From the 2020 - 2021 school year, the 2018 General Education Program was implemented in a roll, and all students have now used new textbooks. Parents overcome storms to go to Hanoi to send their children to university
Despite the storms and floods caused by storm No. 5, thousands of parents and new students still go to universities to complete admission procedures. According to the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates who are admitted to the first round must confirm their admission on the system no later than 5:30 p.m. on August 30, and additional admission will start from September 1.
