Vietnam Education Equipment and Publishing Investment Joint Stock Company (VEPIC) has just implemented activities to support and overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 (storm Wipha) for students in Nghe An province.
Students of schools receiving support this time include: Tam Thai Primary School (Tam Thai Commune); Bac Ly 2 Primary School (Bac Ly Commune); My Ly 2 Primary School (My Ly Commune); Muong Tap Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Muong Tap Commune) and Lu Kieu Primary School (Tuong Duong Commune).

VEPIC has donated a total of 1,625 textbooks worth more than 65 million VND, 5,000 notebooks equivalent to 52.5 million VND and 50 million VND in cash to the above schools.
These are practical gifts, contributing to supporting teachers and students at schools to overcome the difficult period before the new school year. At the same time, this is also a practical proof of the social responsibility of enterprises.
Ms. Quang Thi Hao - Vice Principal of Tam Thai Primary School said that due to the severe impact of storm No. 3, the entire school campus was deeply submerged in water.
In particular, the floodwaters suddenly rose around midnight, leaving the school unable to react, all assets and equipment on the first floor could not be moved in time and were severely damaged.
According to statistics, the library was completely flooded, damaging more than 3,000 textbooks, reference books, stories... In addition, some computers serving IT activities and teaching information technology applications were also submerged in water and could not be restored.

"Collisioning funds to replace equipment is extremely difficult because the locality is also facing many damages caused by natural disasters" - Ms. Hao shared.
On the eve of the new school year, the impact of storm No. 3 has caused many difficulties in remote areas such as Tam Thai Primary School. Therefore, this support from VEPIC helps schools overcome some of the difficulties after the impact of the storm. Students have enough luggage to go to class confidently, and teachers are more confident in their teaching work.
Mr. Do Quoc An - Head of Planning and Distribution Department, Vietnam Education Equipment and Publishing Investment Joint Stock Company said that with a spirit of empathy and responsibility, the unit has launched an internal fundraising movement, calling on all officers and employees of the company to donate one day's salary to raise funds to support areas affected by natural disasters.
In addition, thousands of textbooks and learning equipment have been given to students in localities that suffered heavy damage, including Nghe An province.
