The case of reflecting "running classes" at Ham Rong High School has test results
Thanh Hoa provincial authorities have just responded to the case of Mr. Thieu Anh Duong - Principal of Ham Rong High School being accused of receiving money for "running classes" from parents.
Citizens' complaints sent to the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training and some agencies in the area stated that, for their children to be classified into selected classes, classes with good teachers, each parent must pay from 20-40 million VND, leading to many classes having oversized class sizes.
However, the inspection results from Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training and reports from the school show that the class size exceeding regulations is not related to "running classes" but stems from students registering according to subject combinations.

More than 17,800 invigilators mobilized for the high school graduation exam in Ho Chi Minh City
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (GDĐT), as of the deadline for registration, the whole city has 142,899 candidates registered to take the 2026 high school graduation exam. Of which, 8,128 candidates freely registered to take the exam for university, college admission or to serve personal needs.
This is the first year that the exam is organized on an expanded scale after arranging administrative units, including the Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau areas. The expansion of the area makes the organization, personnel coordination, transportation of exam papers and ensuring exam security face more pressure.
It is expected that the whole city will arrange 248 exam sites with 5,955 exam rooms.
