Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc said that over the past 50 years, the flow of the city's history has always left a strong impression on the education sector.

Right after the liberation day, when the city was still facing many difficulties and shortages, it was the teachers themselves, with revolutionary enthusiasm and boundless love, who turned temporary classes, the white pollen in lim to the first places to nurture the seeds of knowledge.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee expressed his gratitude and deepest gratitude for the great, silent and tireless contributions of many generations of teachers who have devoted themselves and sacrificed their personal interests to serve the Fatherland and the people.

Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong shared that looking back 50 years, it can be affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City's education is behind but ahead. The Ho Chi Minh City education sector has pioneered innovation, becoming one of the major knowledge centers in the country with many bright spots, such as improving people's knowledge and building a learning society. Immediately after the merger, the work of eliminating illiteracy and popularizing education was strongly implemented, becoming the first locality in the country to complete primary school pholization.

The city also focuses on talent training and high-quality human resource development, being a locality that prepares systematically for the goal of making English the second language, organizing many international learning activities.
