HCMC - The Department of Education and Training of HCMC has mobilized more than 17 billion VND to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods in 2025.

On the afternoon of September 15, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee received 3 billion VND from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods in 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City said that on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the 2025 - 2026 school year, the unit launched a campaign to contribute in the form of not receiving congratulatory flower baskets, which was actively responded to by delegates and parents.

From this movement, the Ho Chi Minh City education sector has mobilized more than 17 billion VND. Of which, more than 14 billion VND was directly sent by the unit to support localities. The remaining 3 billion VND was transferred to the city's relief fund to promptly share difficulties with other provinces.

At the reception, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City expressed her respect for the heart and spirit of sharing of the city's education and training sector; the collective of teachers, education managers, workers and students have supported people affected by natural disasters.

From contributions from agencies, units, businesses and individuals, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City urgently coordinates with provinces and cities affected by natural disasters, organizes disbursement of funds, directly supports and visits families affected by human and property losses.

Bringing resources to the right place where they need to be considered a top priority, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of Ho Chi Minh City people with compatriots nationwide.
