Modern projects to welcome the new school year
After the merger of administrative units, the scale of education in Hai Phong has been expanded with more than 1,600 educational institutions from preschool to high school. In order to develop a network of schools and improve the quality of teaching and learning, many schools have now invested in building new schools, renovating construction items, and equipping a series of modern equipment.
Recently, the 4-storey classroom building of Luong Khanh Thien Secondary School (Phu Lien Ward) with a total investment of 21.2 billion VND was attached with a sign on the occasion of National Day, September 2. The project has an area of 254.5 m2, starting from April 2024. The construction process ensures absolute labor safety, exceeding the set schedule, and being completed right before the new school year. The timely use of the project has met the needs of teaching and learning, creating a modern and spacious learning environment for teachers and students of the school
Nam Son Primary School (Phu Lien Ward) has just received the handover and put into use the modern dining and boarding house project invested and built by Son Truong Company Limited. The project has a total area of 2,781 m2, meeting the needs of meals and boarding for more than 600 students of the school from the 2025-2026 school year. 8/3 Kindergarten (Ngo Quyen Ward) also put into use a row of functional rooms and standard classrooms of nearly 200 m2/room, facilitating the school to expand the scale of education to 13 classes with more than 400 students.
In order to help teachers easily present, connect, and coordinate classes, while supporting students to study proactively, creatively, and access knowledge, Chu Van An Secondary School (Gia Vien Ward) has put into use the "Digital Transformation Classroom" with a central LED screen system, podium; smart desks and chairs with flexible design, easy to move, supporting group activities, proactive learning. The classroom is also equipped with online recording/ recording cameras, teaching assistant sound systems and high-speed wifi.

Proposal to invest, renovate, and build 43 new high schools
It is known that in the time of preparing for the end of the school year and the beginning of the new school year, the city's Department of Education and Training issued many documents requesting local departments, professional departments, and schools in the area to inspect, review, re-evaluate the quality of construction and plan, maintain school works, considering the construction of spacious, standard school facilities as one of the important factors to improve the quality of education.
The Department also coordinated with competent agencies to review and establish a list of investments in repairing, renovating, and building new schools for 43 high schools in the area with a total estimated cost of more than 98 billion VND from regular expenditures. Of which, 20 schools in the western area of the city plan to renovate, upgrade and rebuild some items of multi-purpose buildings, subject classrooms, technical infrastructure systems, etc. For 23 high schools in the eastern area of Hai Phong, focus on investing in fire protection equipment systems to ensure school safety according to regulations.
Currently, the Department of Education and Training has equipped foreign language and IT classrooms for 242 primary schools and 40 high schools in the West with an estimated cost of 188 billion VND. Thereby, contributing to building a safe and modern learning environment, creating a solid foundation for the Hai Phong Education sector to continue to improve quality, meeting the requirements in the new period.
