Compared to previous years, the school plans to remove the method of combining international English certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL with test scores for competency assessment and thinking assessment such as HSA (Hanoi National University organized), V-ACT (Ho Chi Minh City National University organized) or TSA (Hanoi University of Science and Technology organized).
Instead, the school plans to only conduct independent admissions based on competency assessment and thinking assessment exam scores such as HSA, V-ACT, TSA.
For the first time, the National Economics University will use additional SPT exam results organized by Hanoi National University of Education.
For competency and international thinking assessment tests, the school still independently considers SAT, ACT, A-Level scores.
With the direct admission method, the subjects of admission are according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, regulations of the National Economics University (maintained stable as in 2026). The school will also have specific policies to encourage/attract international students.
With the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores and domestic and international competency/thinking assessment tests, the school stipulates the admission subjects as follows:
Candidates with SAT, ACT, A-Level international competency/thinking assessment tests;
Candidates with competency/thinking assessment tests in the country HSA, V-ACT, TSA, SPT;
Candidates with high school graduation exam scores in 2027 with combinations A00, A01, D01, D07. Candidates need to reach the entrance threshold according to the annual regulations of the National Economics University and can use converted points for international English certificates instead of English in admission consideration.
The school will add bonus points to international foreign language certificate candidates, in detail as follows:

For candidates with international certificates (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German), the school will specify the score levels of foreign language certificates and bonus points will be announced in the enrollment project in December 2026.
