Students enroll from June 25-27.
Hanoi Department of Education and Training stipulates that if you have been admitted to grade 10, candidates need to complete the enrollment confirmation procedure in the form of direct or online. This is a mandatory procedure. Enrollment confirmation time is from 1:30 PM on June 25 to 24:00 AM on June 27.
According to the regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the admission mechanism is based on the principle: If students have been admitted to nguyện vọng 1, they are not allowed to continue considering nguyện vọng 2; if they have been admitted to nguyện vọng 2, they are not allowed to consider nguyện vọng 3.

Students who are not admitted to nguyện vọng 1 will be considered for nguyện vọng 2 (with the condition that the score is at least 0.5 points higher than the school's benchmark score) and only when they are not admitted to both nguyện vọng 1 and nguyện vọng 2 will be considered for nguyện vọng 3 (with the score being at least 1 point higher than the benchmark score).
If they have enrolled according to nguyện vọng 2, but then nguyện vọng 1 lowers the benchmark score and students have enough points to be admitted or have re-examination results to be increased scores, they can completely carry out procedures to cancel confirmation of enrollment at the old school and confirm enrollment at the new school.
Enrollment records
Enrollment documents for 10th grade public schools in Hanoi include:
- Grade 10 exam result bulletin (students receive this bulletin on June 23-24 at their secondary school).
- Birth certificate (copy with original for comparison).
- Citizen identification card or other legal proof of residence in Hanoi of the candidate or guardian.
- Valid certificates to enjoy preferential treatment (encouragement issued by competent authorities), certificates of permission to skip classes, study early or late compared to general regulations (if any).
- For candidates who graduated from secondary school last year, they need to have a diploma (original or copy) issued by the secondary school, and a confirmation "not in the period of serving a prison sentence; non-custodial reform or violating the law" issued by the commune or ward where they reside.
With online enrollment, students log in to their account and password to the city's first-level enrollment system, choose the name of the admitted school and confirm. Then, they print or save the enrollment confirmation form.
In case of being admitted to multiple aspirations (specialized, non-specialized, bilingual French, enhanced French schools), students can change their enrollment aspirations during the time the system is open.
If students want to enroll directly, they submit a copy of the 10th grade exam result report at the admitted school. After the school updates the enrollment information, they receive the Enrollment Confirmation Notice, and the account on the enrollment system will automatically lock.
When wanting to change their enrollment aspirations, candidates must contact the school to cancel the previous enrollment results.
During the enrollment period, candidates have the right to withdraw the submitted enrollment applications. The Department requests schools to create conditions, remove names from the list of admitted students, and cancel enrollment confirmations on the industry's database system.
After candidates enroll, schools that are still short of quotas will be supplemented on July 3. This round of admitted candidates will enroll on three days, June 4-6. 7.
