For the first time, the iSchool, UK Academy and IEC systems have joined forces to organize a national sporting event, gathering nearly 2,000 students to participate, providing a space where they can develop their talents and demonstrate their team spirit and passion for sports.
The mark "Rise to the challenge - Conquer the challenge"
Inspired by the theme “Rise to the Challenge,” the tournament is a diverse playground with many attractive sports such as soccer, swimming, badminton, chess, basketball, and even pickleball – a new sports trend that is creating global appeal. Students from 19 schools in the system have tested themselves, devoted themselves and surpassed themselves, leaving behind beautiful moments of youthful will and strength.
The matches in the Central finals held at IEC Quang Ngai and the Southern finals at UK Academy Ba Ria attracted thousands of spectators to attend and cheer. With the spirit of fierce competition, the program brought thrilling moments, full of emotions, connecting teachers, students, and families in an exciting and proud atmosphere.
Mr. Phan Ngoc Huynh - Principal of UKA Ba Ria, the host unit of the Southern region, affirmed: "The iSCHOOL, UKA & IEC OLYMPICS 2024 inter-system sports tournament is an opportunity for all students of the schools to exchange sports, improve their health and at the same time is a meaningful and practical educational activity that brings joy and happiness to all athletes who love sports, students and teachers. The tournament is also an activity to summarize and evaluate the learning and training results of students in physical education, a subject that is identified as extremely important in the educational program of schools."
Solid foundation from advanced facilities
To successfully organize the program, IEC Quang Ngai International School has invested in a green, modern space complex with many amenities and high-class sports areas: FIFA standard football field; 400m running track with 05 international standard running lanes; 10 Olympic standard swimming pool lanes; multi-purpose sports hall with a capacity of 1,500 seats, which can organize indoor sports activities such as: Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, ... and a trampoline playground with nearly 20 sports games integrated with a trampoline playground to serve physical activities and outdoor activities.
Meanwhile, UK Academy Ba Ria also owns a 3,000 m² campus including a 1,000-seat multi-purpose stadium, a 6-lane swimming pool, a gym and a standard basketball court. In particular, the dormitory and school bus services at both schools ensure convenience and safety for students, helping parents feel secure when accompanying their children on their journey of learning and development.
The organizing committee awarded nearly 300 trophies, souvenir flags and medals to the best individuals and teams. For the Central region, IEC Quang Ngai International School was honored to win the overall team prize, while also dominating in basketball and football. The school's athletes also showed outstanding performance in individual events such as badminton and swimming, contributing to bringing home many prestigious medals.
In the Southern region, UK Academy Ba Ria topped the gold medal table with outstanding achievements thanks to the participation of talented athletes in chess.
