Lack of capital in all aspects
According to records, in the last days of July, in the mountainous areas of Thanh Hoa province, many schools were lacking classrooms, functional rooms, and teaching equipment, while the new school year 2025 - 2026 was approaching.

Teacher Ha Van Tay - Principal of Lung Cao Primary School, Co Lung Commune - said that the scene had 2 separate locations (Zone 4 Thanh Cong and Kit area). In particular, Thanh Cong 4 area is basically stable, while Kit area is facing many difficulties.
In the Kit hamlet, more than 10km from the commune center, this school year there are about 20 students attending. However, there are only 2 corrugated iron classrooms built by benefactors many years ago, now degraded, cramped and especially hot. Students must study combined classes (grade 1, grade 2, grade 3 in general education), and must build 2 to 3 boards for a teacher to teach" - Mr. Tay shared.
According to Mr. Tay, the classrooms at this school are built with thin corrugated iron, and in the summer, teachers and students have a hard time because of the heat. Because the walls are too thin, the school does not dare to hang a TV even though it is afraid of falling and being stolen.

Similarly, Thanh Lam Primary School (Pu Luong commune) is also facing many difficulties. Sharing with Lao Dong, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Thuoc - Principal of the school - said that the school has nearly 300 students studying at 3 locations, of which almost all lack facilities for teaching.
"Last year, at Leo school, due to the serious deterioration of the classroom system, the school had to temporarily borrow the village cultural house to study for many months. Up to now, this school has just been repaired, and students have a stable place to study" - Mr. Thuoc said.
The biggest difficulty is that since its establishment in 1997, the school has not had a headquarters to serve as a place for working and holding meetings for teachers. Therefore, after repairing the Leo area school, the Board of Directors and Principals had to move here to work and store records and books" - Mr. Thuoc said.
Hope to have enough space for teaching and learning
According to Mr. Thuoc, over the years, the school has continuously faced many difficulties, especially a lack of facilities. This seriously affects the quality of teaching and learning. The school has repeatedly made proposals to local authorities and functional agencies, but due to limited funding, it has not been resolved.

"The school's biggest wish is to have a headquarters to store records, hold meetings and manage work. Functional rooms such as libraries, IT, music, fine arts... are still just a dream. Currently, we have to take advantage of other classrooms to teach" - Mr. Thuoc shared.
Sharing the same wish, Lung Cao Primary School is also in great need of building solid classrooms at the Kit area school, replacing temporary rooms made of seriously degraded corrugated iron.
"We have repeatedly proposed to all levels and sectors, and at the same time called on benefactors to support, but so far we have not been able to do so. In the future, the school will continue to make recommendations, hoping to have funds to build at least 2 solid classrooms at this school, so that teachers and students can escape the situation of teaching and learning in temporary and sweating conditions" - Mr. Ha Van Tay expressed.
