According to Lao Dong, VPF company is considering the possibility of re- conducting the draw to schedule the V.League 2025-2026 competition.
The reason comes from the fact that Quang Nam club has not yet confirmed that they will participate in the new season, while the opening day is less than 2 weeks away.
As of the evening of July 31, the Quang team has not yet given an official response about participating in the tournament. This creates many difficulties for the organizing committee as well as the remaining teams in planning preparation.
In the case of Quang Nam's withdrawal, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) once left open the option of pushing a First Division team to replace them. At that time, drawing lots is inevitable to ensure fairness in the competition schedule.
Binh Phuoc Club - a team that failed in the play-off match - is also waiting for a move from Quang Nam, but is still not ready for the V.League playground.
Meanwhile, PVF-CAND - one of the candidates with great ambitions for promotion, also has no plans to compete in the V.League next season.
Previously, VPF sent a document requesting Quang Nam to make a clear decision, with a deadline of 5:00 p.m. on July 28.
VPF emphasized that the delay of the team not only affects the progress of the tournament but also affects the image of the tournament and the rights of the parties involved.
It is known that Quang Nam once intended to merge with SHB Da Nang before the new season. However, the plan has not yet been implemented as it awaits a rescue.
Meanwhile, most of the team's players have left, even withdrawing from a friendly tournament held right at home.
