On April 2, the People's Committee of Tan Lap 1 commune (Tan Phuoc district, Tien Giang province) held a meeting to clarify the child abuse case that occurred in Hamlet 4.
At the meeting, Mr. Dang Hoang Nhan - Chairman of Tan Lap 1 Commune People's Committee - requested Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Vice Chairman of Tan Lap 1 Commune People's Committee - to focus and quickly prepare a file to handle Ms. N.T.H.T's childcare facility according to current law. At the same time, it is necessary to immediately check unlicensed childcare centers, including those that have committed to stopping operations but are still operating, and advise on strict handling according to the law.
The Chairman of Tan Lap 1 Commune People's Committee also requested the hamlets to continue to closely review whether there are any childcare centers in the area (even if they only have 1 child) to synthesize, invite to work and request to immediately stop operations until there is a written permission from the competent authority (assessment file of the Department of Education and Training, decision to recognize eligibility of the Commune People's Committee).
The Chairman of Tan Lap 1 Commune People's Committee also requested the Commune Police to consolidate the dossier according to the provisions of law. If there is sufficient basis and elements to constitute a crime, criminal proceedings will be handled; if there is not enough basis for criminal proceedings, administrative violations of child abuse at the childcare center of Ms. N.T.H.T.
Previously, a clip appeared on social media extracted from a camera recording the incident at the childcare facility of Ms. N.T.H.T (Hamlet 4, Tan Lap 1, Tan Phuoc District, Tien Giang Province).
In the clip, a woman - believed to be a nanny - lies across her phone, surrounded by a number of children sleeping. Suddenly, this person turned back, used his hands to repeatedly hit a girl's head and face, causing her to cry in pain. After that, the woman continued to use a pillow to throw at a boy, causing him to fall back to the mattress.
The clip after being posted has made many people upset and angry with the behavior of this woman and hoped the authorities would soon intervene.
