Proposal to discipline former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh

At the 55th Session, the Central Inspection Committee reviewed and disciplined many officials.

On March 31 and April 3, 2025, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Committee held its 55th meeting.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc chaired the meeting.

At this Session, the Central Inspection Commission (CIC) reviewed and concluded the following contents:

1. Continue to review the inspection results when there are signs of violations and the review results, propose disciplinary action against comrade Truong Hoa Binh - former Politburo member, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Central Inspection Commission found that:

Comrade Truong Hoa Binh, during his tenure as Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, bad public opinion, affecting the prestige of the Party and State, to the point of requiring disciplinary action.

Based on the Party's regulations, the Central Inspection Commission proposed that competent authorities consider and discipline comrade Truong Hoa Binh.

2. Considering the test results when signs of violations and criticism results, proposing discipline of comrades: Nguyen Van Hieu, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of Propaganda Department and Central Mobilization; Tran Viet Truong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Manh Dung, former Secretary of Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee; Pham Ngoc Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province, the Central Economic Committee found:

- Comrade Nguyen Van Hieu during the position of Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee and Mr. Tran Viet Truong during the position of Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Affairs Committee, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee violated the Party's regulations, the State's law in performing assigned responsibilities and tasks in the prevention and anti -corruption; Violating the regulation of what party members must not do and responsible for setting an example, causing serious consequences, reducing the reputation of the Party and local governments, to the point of disciplinary enforcement.

- Comrade Nguyen Manh Dung, during his tenure as Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences, reducing the prestige of the Party organization and the agency or work unit, to the point of requiring disciplinary action.

- Comrade Pham Ngoc Nghi violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences, reducing the prestige of the Party organization and local government, to the point of requiring disciplinary action.

Considering the content, nature, extent, consequences, and causes of the violation; based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to take disciplinary action against comrades Nguyen Manh Dung, Tran Viet Truong, Pham Ngoc Nghi and proposed that competent authorities consider and take disciplinary action against comrade Nguyen Van Hieu.

The Central Inspection Commission requested the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee to direct, review and handle other relevant organizations and individuals.

3. Also at this Session, the Central Inspection Committee reviewed and concluded a number of other important contents.
