According to the Provincial People's Committee, some items at 2 schools in phase 1 are still behind schedule compared to the plan.
In addition, the task deployment of some agencies, units, and localities is not really proactive and drastic; the work of reviewing and rearranging educational institutions in some places is still clumsy.
Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requests units to be determined to complete the construction of 4 schools before August 30, 2026 according to the direction of the Central Government and the Provincial Party Committee, ensuring sufficient conditions for inauguration on September 5 and putting them into operation right from the beginning of the 2026 - 2027 school year.
The Department of Education and Training is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance to guide localities to develop supplementary estimates, prepare sufficient facilities to serve kitchens, dormitories, teaching equipment, textbooks, learning materials, and medical supplies.
At the same time, arrange a sufficient team of management officials, teachers, and staff according to regulations.
The Department of Finance is responsible for guiding the adjustment of the 2026 budget estimate, ensuring funding for the implementation of regimes and policies for officials, teachers, staff and students; coordinating with the Department of Education and Training to fully prepare conditions to serve the new school year.
