This means that the summer vacation schedule for the 2024-2025 school year for students nationwide will be no later than May 31, 2025. Students will have 2 months of summer vacation (June and July). In August 2025, depending on the needs of each family, students will participate in summer activities organized by the school on certain days of the week.
However, the 2025 summer vacation schedule may change depending on the plan of each locality and school.
In Ho Chi Minh City, many kindergartens and primary schools have planned the closing day of the school year, the graduation day for children in grade 5-6 years old) and the graduation day for grade 5 students. The activities take place from May 23 to May 30, 2025. After the closing ceremony, students in Ho Chi Minh City will officially have a summer vacation.
In Hanoi, the 2025 summer vacation schedule for students will start after May 29, 2025 after the end of the 2024-2025 school year program.
9th grade students will continue to review and participate in the 10th grade entrance exam of public high school held on June 7-8, 3 days earlier than last year.
Meanwhile, An Giang ends the second semester on May 23 and the year's summary takes place in the last week of May depending on each school.

Hai Phong: End the school year before May 31, 2025 (according to Decision 2826/QD-UBND dated August 9, 2024).
Can Tho: The end date for the school year for preschool education is from May 27 to before May 31, 2025; for general education is before May 31, 2025 (according to Decision 1803/QD-UBND dated August 15, 2024).
Many other localities also regulate the completion of programs and the end of the school year before May 31. Students will have summer vacation from 1.6.2025.
