Vietnam issues notice of protest against China's ban on fishing in the East Sea

At the regular press conference of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the afternoon of May 15, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang expressed Vietnam's reaction to China's recent ban on fishing in the East Sea.

Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang stated: Vietnam's stance on China's ban on fishing in the East Sea is consistent and has been repeatedly affirmed.

"Vietnam requires China to respect Vietnam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa Archipelago as well as sovereignty, sovereignty and jurisdiction for the waters of Vietnam established in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Law on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) 1982; respect the rights of Vietnamese fishermen in lawful activities in the waters of Vietnam and the waters in addition to the national jurisdiction in accordance with the international law and the special law of 1982 Actions that complicate the situation, contribute to maintaining peace, stability and order at sea based on the law in the South China Sea " - the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesman stated.
