Thai Prime Minister begins official visit to Vietnam

At noon on May 15, Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra arrived in Hanoi, starting an official visit to Vietnam.

At the invitation of Politburo member and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Paetongtarn Shinawatra led a high-ranking delegation of the Thai Royal Government to officially visit Vietnam and co-chair the 4th Session of the Vietnam - Thailand General cabinet from May 15 to 16, 2025.

This is the first visit to Vietnam by Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra since she took office and the first visit by a Thai Prime Minister to Vietnam in 11 years; and the first General Meeting of the Prime Ministers of the two countries in 10 years.
