After that, from July 15 to 5:00 PM on July 21, 2026, candidates must pay admission fees according to the number of admission aspirations in online form according to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The results of the 2026 high school graduation exam will be announced at 8:00 AM on July 1, 2026.
More than 1.2 million candidates register for the 2026 high school graduation exam
According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, as of 5 pm on May 5 (the time of completion of registration for the high school graduation exam), the total number of registered candidates is 1,223,776, the highest in many years.
Among more than 1.22 million candidates registered for the 2026 high school graduation exam, there are 1,204,180 students taking the Math exam, 1,208,356 students taking the Literature exam.
Compared to 2025, the subjects with the most increased number of candidates registering for the graduation exam include Mathematics (up 58,731 candidates), Literature (up 56,669 candidates), History (up 71,433 candidates) and Physics (up 35,332 candidates).
To be considered for high school graduation recognition, candidates must register to take the Literature exam, the Math exam and 1 elective exam including 2 exam subjects among the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Informatics, Industrial Technology, Agricultural Technology, Foreign Languages.
Candidates choose 2 exam subjects of the elective exam from the subjects they have learned in grade 12. Candidates are allowed to register to take the Foreign Language exam different from the Foreign Language subject they are studying at the high school.
Candidates who have high school diplomas and intermediate diplomas take the exam to use the results as a basis for registering for admission only register for exam subjects according to their aspirations. For elective exams, candidates can only choose a maximum of 2 exam subjects.
