Since universities announced the benchmark scores on August 22-23, many candidates and parents have been confused and worried about whether they will be admitted or not because they cannot look up on the Ministry of Education and Training's admission portal.
"This year, schools have changed their scores, parents and candidates cannot be proactive in calculating how many points they will get converted. Therefore, I feel very confused and worried about whether my child will be admitted even though the school has announced the standard scores" - Ms. Thu Ha (Hanoi) - a parent whose child has just attended the high school graduation exam and applied for university admission shared.
Ms. Le Minh Phuong (Hanoi) said that up to now, after the Ministry gate has been open for more than 1 hour, her child has not been able to confirm her wish to be admitted.
"I have been struggling since morning, the Ministry's website reported "it is not yet time for candidates to confirm online admission, please come back later". While below is an additional notice "The system will open for candidates to confirm admission from 08:00 on August 25, 2025 to 17:00 on August 30, 2025" - Ms. Phuong said.
On forums, many contestants expressed concern at not being able to access the system.
Talking with Lao Dong, a representative of the Ministry of Education and Training confirmed that there was a situation where candidates could not enter the Ministry's system to register for the exam this morning. The reason may be due to the large number of accounts accessing at the same time.
"The technical department has received the information and is currently handling it," he said.
According to regulations, before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, if candidates have not confirmed their admission, they will be eliminated from the admission list.
