This year's exam is organized for both students according to the 2018 General Education Program (new program) and the 2006 General Education Program (old program).
Candidates taking the exam under the new program will participate in 3 exams, including 1 Literature exam, 1 Math exam and 1 optional exam.
Candidates taking the exam under the old program will participate in 4 exams, including 1 Literature exam, 1 Math exam, 1 Foreign Language exam and 1 Natural Science or Social Science optional exam.
The important milestones of the exam are as follows:

Along with the change in exam questions, the multiple-choice form for this year's high school graduation exam has also been adjusted to suit new contents.
Candidates should note, fill in accurately and fully the information in the empty fields above the multiple-choice form. For the reported number, it must be recorded in full and the number must be plated (including the 0 numbers in front). Candidates must fill in the exam code accurately on 2 exam receipts.

Students must take a test on the Testanswer Form printed in advance according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, and can only do black pencils with license plates, exam questions and answers. In case the pen is mistaken or you want to change the answer, you must clean the lead in the old pen, then paint your own pen.
Candidates must look up the exam questions to ensure that there are enough questions and pages as stated in the questions and that all pages of the exam questions are written with the same exam code.
Students are not allowed to submit their exams before the end of their test time. When the test time ends, the exam results must be submitted to the supervisor and the two exam receipts must be signed.
The Ministry of Education and Training said that the total number of candidates registered for this year's exam is nearly 1,165,289, an increase of 100,000 candidates compared to 2024. This is the exam with the largest number of candidates ever.
