On the afternoon of June 9, the "Volunteer Police Vehicle Team" of An Giang Provincial Police organized to welcome 135 students from Kien Hai special zone to Rach Gia ward to participate in the 2026 High School Graduation Exam.
After the journey across the sea to shore, as soon as the ship docked at Rach Gia Passenger Port, the students were supported by the "Volunteer Police Car Team" to pick up and drop off, carry luggage to accommodation and exam sites to ensure safety and convenience. Youth union members of the Police also wholeheartedly guided and encouraged the spirit so that they could confidently enter the exam with the most confident and comfortable psychology.
According to Ms. Pham Thi Phuong, a teacher at Lai Son Secondary and High School, due to the characteristics of the school being on a remote island, moving to the mainland for the exam is also quite difficult. "We have a lot of support from the local authorities and units in Rach Gia ward. Since the train docked, there have been vehicles from the Provincial Police force picking up and taking the delegation of students and teachers to the registered accommodation near the exam site, with time for them to rest and pack their belongings," Ms. Phuong said.
Among the students who came ashore to take the exam, the situation of little student Pham Thanh Lan made many people touched and admired. Lan is a student of Lai Son Secondary and High School, Kien Hai special zone, she has been a good student for 12 consecutive years but her family circumstances are very difficult.

Sharing about her family, Lan confided: her father passed away 3 years ago, Lan lives with her mother and has an older brother working in Ho Chi Minh City. The journey of going to school and nurturing her dreams is not easy compared to her peers.
With a meager income of about 3 million VND/month from housework, Lan's mother still diligently raises her child to study for many years. She shared that besides her, there is also the companionship and support of the School, philanthropists helping with scholarships. In addition, she also received support from the "Children's Foster Child of Border Guard Station" Program (500,000 VND/month) contributing to the cost of living and studying.
I can continue studying, and being present today to participate in this exam is a difficult and challenging time. In addition to my family, my mother who has worked hard to raise me to study, there is also the support of everyone, so I really appreciate this opportunity. I am very grateful and will try to study and take the exam well so as not to disappoint everyone who has helped," Lan confided.
After the journey by boat to the shore to take the exam, Lan shared that before going to the mainland, she was quite worried, not knowing how to get to the exam site, but with the police officers supporting her to pick her up and guide her, she was reassured. Now Lan only focuses on taking the exam well.
Loving researching biological products, Lan dreams of getting into biotechnology. The little student also hopes that in the future she can build a beautiful house for her mother, to compensate for the hard days her mother sacrificed to nurture Lan's university dream.

Ms. Pham Thi Phuong added that in the delegation, there are many students with economic difficulties, some whose parents work far away, and some who have to work part-time. Taking trains and eating also cost a lot of money. However, it is very happy that the children are supported by many units with cars and food. There are 3 disadvantaged children who received scholarship support from the Provincial Police Youth Union, including Thanh Lan. In addition, when preparing to take the exam, there are also many organizations that support disadvantaged children with exam expenses, thereby helping them have the motivation to take the exam better.
Lieutenant Colonel Truong Van Quoc, Head of the Youth Committee of An Giang Provincial Police, said that many students are in difficult circumstances. Therefore, these meaningful support programs demonstrate the spirit of responsibility and companionship of the youth of the Provincial Police towards students in coastal and island areas before the important exam. Not only deploying the "Volunteer Police Vehicle Team", the Youth Committee of An Giang Provincial Police also established many support teams to serve the exam, including: "Communication Soldiers" Team; "Assault Team to ensure security and safety for the exam"; "Team to receive information to support candidates through the hotline". The teams are assigned specific tasks to support and guide candidates and their families throughout the 2026 High School Graduation Exam.
