On June 10, speaking with Lao Dong, the leader of the People's Committee of Vinh Thanh district (Binh Dinh) said that Vinh Quang commune police had reported on the case of a male student being beaten by a group of friends, which occurred in the commune.
"Immediately after learning about the incident, the district leaders directly visited and encouraged the male student who was assaulted. The locality is coordinating with the police and schools to invite them to work and take strong measures to deter students from violent behavior," he said.
According to initial information, at around 2:00 p.m. on June 3, N.G.B (born in 2014, residing in Vinh Quang commune) was playing in front of his house when he was suddenly assaulted by T.A.Q, N.T.D, D.Q.K (both born in 2012) and B.T.L (born in 2014), both residing in Vinh Quang commune.
Not stopping there, the group continued to drag B onto an electric bicycle, carrying him to a nearby vacant lot to continue beating. In which, Q, D and K directly beat B, while L stood up to turn "achievement".
On June 5, B went to K's house to get back the motorbike battery that he had previously borrowed. Here, the two argueed. On the way home, B was stopped and beaten by K and Q, and the clip was recorded.
Due to his frustration, on June 7, Mr. Nguyen Hung V (B's father) posted a clip recording the assault of his child on Facebook, with the content "To the parents of those who assaulted my child".
The clip, which is more than 1 minute long, recorded the scene of the group continuously beating B, even though the victim knelt down to beg. At the vacant land, Q also used a stick to repeatedly hit B. When the victim ran away, the group continued to chase and assault him.
According to Vinh Quang Commune Police, the children who participated in the B beatings were all under 14 years old and were studying at primary and secondary schools in the area. Due to their young age, they are not fully aware of their behavior. The police are consolidating the case file and taking statements from the students and parents. Initially, the students admitted to their violations.
