Trinh Thi Ngoc (former student of K17 majoring in Digital Marketing at FPT Polytechnic College, Ho Chi Minh City campus) is working at Vietnam Food Industry Joint Stock Company (Vifon).
Ngoc is a bright face in the livestream village (the process of broadcasting live to viewers) with large-scale live sessions and many famous KOLs (influencers).
Ngoc started her livestreaming journey as a senior, right during her time at school. There were times when she spent 6 hours a day on livestreaming.
The opportunity to be exposed to product buying and selling activities early on helped Ngoc master e-commerce platforms. Right from the first days of practicing livestreaming, Ngoc quickly affirmed her ability through large-scale live sessions. In particular, the collaboration with Viruss in the program "First unstable livestream" helped Ngoc prove her mettle and talent.
“I only had 3 days to learn the script and product information. The first time I stood with Viruss, I was both nervous and excited. Through the live session, I learned how to handle problems, how to manage time for each product as well as how to work as a professional production team” - Ngoc recalls the important milestone in her livestream career.
With positive energy, Ngoc continues to participate in many live sessions of famous KOC/KOL.
Ngoc earns 23 million VND per month when she is busy with live sessions, but in months with little work, her income is only 9 million VND.
She said that livestreaming requires unity and close coordination in live campaigns. To create a stable live session, Ngoc always has to work with at least 2 groups. Ngoc believes that communication skills, flexibility and improvisation in work are essential to success.
Being able to express yourself gracefully, skillfully and perceptively to the customer's intentions is the decisive factor in closing the deal (used to indicate that the two parties have successfully transacted).
"For a streamer, the ability to interact confidently in front of the camera, along with humor, joy and energy are indispensable. That is the strength to attract viewers" - Ngoc confided.
Mr. Dang Huynh Kim Long - lecturer of e-commerce - shared: "As a lecturer majoring in Digital Marketing, I have witnessed many students achieving success like Ngoc. I feel happy when students succeed. That is the joy and motivation of a teacher."
Mr. Long said that livestreaming is currently a new and rapidly growing industry. The Digital Marketing major at the school Ngoc attended requires students to present in most subjects, from group activities to final defense presentations.
Students are equipped with specialized knowledge and trained in analytical thinking skills during the learning process, so they can grasp the psychology and needs of viewers to create effective live scripts.
Sharing about her future plans, Ngoc said: “In the future, I will aim to build a personal channel. In addition to livestreaming, I am also active in the field of content creation. I hope that there will be many opportunities to learn and develop further in operating e-commerce platforms.”
