On the morning of March 27, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Pathway Tue Duc School system said that all 6 students at the two facilities were hospitalized due to abdominal pain and diarrhea and their health is now stable.
"This morning, the children have returned to school as usual. The food sample has also been taken for testing and the results will be available after 7-10 days, when the results are available, the school will provide information to the press. The scene has also had a comprehensive report sent to the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City," he said.
However, according to the school representative, initial examinations at the hospital can confirm that it is not food poisoning that the students with digestive disorders suffer from.
Previously, on the afternoon of March 25, 14 students at Nguyen Thi Dinh and Luong Dinh Cua campuses (Thu Duc City) under the Pathway Tue Duc School system had a stomachache after a snack (eating a driver).
Of these, 8 students showed mild symptoms of abdominal pain, rested in the medical room and returned to school normally, 6 other students had more severe symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea and were taken to the hospital for examination.
It is known that on the afternoon of March 25, students of both facilities ate sticky rice with Korean stir-fried vermicelli and mulberry yogurt.
