The regulations for high school graduation exams in 2025 have just been issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Accordingly, the high school graduation exam from 2025 will be organized in 3 sessions, including: 1 session of Literature, 1 session of Math and 1 session of elective exam with 2 subjects from the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Industrial Technology (abbreviated as Industrial Technology), Agricultural Technology (abbreviated as Agricultural Technology), Foreign Languages (English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese and Korean).
Candidates will be arranged according to their chosen test combination to optimize exam rooms and scores.
Compared to previous years, the exam has reduced 1 exam session and 2 exam subjects, thereby reducing pressure and social costs while still ensuring exam quality.
The second new point is to combine the assessment scores (report cards) and exam results in considering graduation recognition at a ratio of 50-50. The average report card scores of the years are calculated based on weight.
The Circular also stipulates what items are allowed and not allowed to be brought into the high school graduation exam room.
To serve the exam process, candidates are allowed to bring into the exam room the following: Pens; rulers; pencils; erasers; set squares; graphing rulers; drawing tools; handheld calculators without text editing function, without periodic table lookup function and without memory cards.
Prohibited from bringing into the exam room: Carbon paper, erasers, alcoholic beverages; weapons and explosives, flammable substances; documents, communication equipment (receiving, broadcasting information, recording audio, video) or containing information to cheat during the exam.
