On the evening of December 26, many passengers on Metro train No. 1 were surprised when it stopped at Ba Son station (District 1) for about 10 minutes (instead of about 30 seconds as usual). Regarding this incident, a representative of the Urban Railway Management Board, Urban Railway Company No. 1 said that train No. 1700 departed from Suoi Tien Bus Station to Ben Thanh Station, and stopped at Ba Son station at 6:30 p.m.
During the inspection of the train control unit, it was found that some details in the signal were not in accordance with the operating procedures and technical instructions.
“Because this is a new phase of train operation, to ensure absolute safety for passengers, staff and vehicles, the operator has consulted and the Urban Railway Management Board, Urban Railway Company No. 1 has decided to temporarily stop the train to coordinate with contractor HITACHI to organize inspection and evaluation,” said a representative of this unit.
After about 10 minutes of inspection, relevant units decided to allow the train to operate again.
The unit also informed: "We hope that passengers who participated in the 1700 train recently will share their experiences during the first phase of service. We serve with all our heart for the safety and convenience of passengers."
