With an average score of 6.322, Ninh Binh leads the country in terms of average exam scores of candidates, surpassing the two localities behind them, Hanoi and Hai Phong.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the top 10 localities with the highest average scores are Ninh Binh, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Bac Ninh, Hue City, Phu Tho respectively.

Compared to 2025, the ranking has many changes. Ninh Binh increased two places to rise to number one, replacing Nghe An.
Hanoi also increased three places, ranking second in the country for the first time in terms of average score.
In the opposite direction, Son La is the locality with the lowest average score in the country and the only province with an average score below 5.
The remaining four localities in the bottom group are Vinh Long, Dak Lak, Dien Bien and Cao Bang.
The 2026 high school graduation exam has more than 1.22 million registered candidates, the most crowded ever.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the national average score reached 5,722, down 0.448 points compared to 2025. In addition to considering high school graduation recognition, exam results are the basis for higher education institutions to enroll students according to regulations.
Immediately after having the results, from July 1 to the end of July 5, candidates have the right to submit applications for re-examination at the registered exam site if they have the need.
According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, the consideration of high school graduation recognition must be completed no later than July 3, localities update data to the Ministry before July 4 and no later than July 7, candidates will receive exam result certificates and transcripts.
From July 2nd to 5:00 PM on July 14th, candidates register, adjust and supplement their university and college admission aspirations on the Ministry of Education and Training's enrollment system.
2026 is the first enrollment season to apply the regulation that each candidate can register a maximum of 15 admission aspirations instead of unlimited registration as before.
University admission results are expected to be announced after 5 pm on August 9. 8.
Literature subject has no 10 points in the 2026 high school graduation exam
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, Mathematics and History are the two subjects with the most perfect scores in the 2026 high school graduation exam. Mathematics alone recorded 4,208 perfect scores, the highest among all subjects. History ranked second with 2,465 perfect scores.
Third place is Chemistry with 412 scores. Next is English 311 scores, Physics 189 scores, Biology 129 scores and Geography 56 scores.
The subjects Technology - Agriculture, Technology - Industry and Informatics have 44, 40 and 25 scores of 10 respectively.
While Economics and Law Education only had 2 perfect scores, Literature did not record perfect scores.
