Updated from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this morning (July 1), the low pressure area in the eastern sea area of the central East Sea has strengthened into a tropical depression.
At 7:00 AM on July 1st, the center of the tropical depression was located at about 14.5 degrees North latitude - 118.8 degrees East longitude, over the northeast sea area of the Central East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is strong at level 6 (39-49km/h), gusting at level 8; moving in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 10km/h.
Forecast for the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move in a West-Northwest direction, at a speed of about 15-20 km/h and tend to strengthen. By 7:00 AM on July 2, the center of the tropical depression will be located at about 15.8 degrees North latitude - 115.2 degrees East longitude, over the sea area south of the Northern East Sea area.
The strongest wind in the area near the center of the tropical depression is strong at level 7, gusting at level 8. The dangerous area is at about 14 degrees North latitude - 17.5 degrees North latitude; East 114 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the east of the Northern and Central East Sea areas.
Forecast for the next 48 hours, the tropical depression will move in a Northwest direction, at a speed of about 15-20 km/h and is likely to strengthen into a storm from the night of July 2 to July 3.
By 7:00 AM on July 3rd, the storm center will be located at about 17.8 degrees North latitude - 112.2 degrees East longitude, over the sea area north of the Hoang Sa special zone. The strongest wind near the storm center is strong at level 8-9, gusting at level 12. The dangerous area is at about 14 degrees North latitude - 20 degrees North latitude; 111 degrees East longitude - 116 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the Northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone).
From the next 48 to 72 hours, the storm will move in a Northwest direction, moving about 15-20km per hour.
The eastern sea area of the Northern and Central East Sea (including the Hoang Sa special zone) has strong winds of level 6, then increasing to level 7, gusts of level 10, sea waves 2-3m high, waves 3-4m high near the center of the tropical depression, strong rough seas.
Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
