On the first day of putting the new motor vehicle inspection management software into operation, some vehicle registration centers recorded technical problems, affecting the progress of handling dossiers. The Vietnam Register is urgently overcoming them to soon stabilize operations.
On the morning of July 1st, when the registration system officially put new management software into operation, many registration centers encountered technical problems.

Talking to reporters, Mr. To An - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Register, confirmed that congestion has occurred at some centers due to software update errors.
According to Mr. To An, the transition to a new system is difficult to avoid initial problems. Yesterday afternoon and night, the unit had full technical instructions. However, when starting operation in the early hours of this morning, some technical errors still arose.

In Hanoi, Mr. Tran Quoc Hoan - Director of Registration Branch 29-03V (Cau Giay), said that the software continuously encountered errors during operation. Specifically, every time the printed result sheet command is executed, the software automatically exits, forcing employees to log in and operate again from the beginning.
According to Mr. Hoan, the software has just been updated, so the system is not really stable.

A similar situation is also recorded in many localities. In Thai Nguyen, Mr. Do Dac Huy - representative of Vehicle Registration Center 20-01S said that the unit encountered some problems related to software as soon as it was officially put into use.
The software change aims to update and synchronize according to new regulations in inspection management. The software is designed to be compatible with inspection stamp designs, new print designs and meet higher requirements for vehicle image management.

One of the notable new points is that the professional process is adjusted between stage 4 and stage 5.
At the same time, the requirement for image storage is also tightened. In addition to overall photos, inspectors must take additional photos of many positions such as the front of the car, rear of the car, interior and cabin.
According to Mr. Tran Quoc Hoan, this regulation helps functional agencies accurately detect cases of arbitrarily changing vehicle structures, such as renovating or changing seats. However, the addition of photo taking steps also makes the inspection time for each vehicle longer than before.

Despite the incident, the Vietnam Register said that errors are received and handled immediately upon detection to limit the impact on the operation of registration centers.
However, due to technical problems and new photography procedures, work productivity at some units has decreased significantly. Representatives of Registration Branch 29-03V said that previously, in the same period of time, the unit could complete inspection of about 10 vehicles, but now it only achieves 5-6 vehicles. The processing progress is slower than usual but no congestion has occurred.
Leaders of the Vietnam Register said that the technical team is focusing on overcoming the incident so that the system can soon operate stably.
We are making efforts to fix it as soon as possible so that the system operates smoothly, meeting the inspection needs of people and businesses," Mr. To An said.
