From the footsteps of finding students
More than 30 years ago, when she was a young Literature teacher, Ms. Dinh Thi Hau was familiar with the roads leading to the villages.
Outside of class hours, she and her colleagues go to each family to mobilize students to return to school.
Those steps pass through many villages, bringing many students back to class. For Ms. Hau, the joy of seeing a child continue to go to school is always the greatest reward of the profession.
In 1999, Ms. Dinh Thi Hau was assigned the task of Vice Principal. From a teacher directly teaching classes, she switched to management work with more responsibilities.

For nearly three decades, she has accompanied many generations of students, coordinating with colleagues to take care of professional matters and school activities.
The job changed, but the affection for students remained intact. The years of management did not make her forget the feeling of standing on the podium, and even less dispel the concern about the students she once mentored.
Perhaps one person can leave the podium to become a manager, but for someone who has devoted their youth to teaching, the podium is still always deep in their heart.
Therefore, when the education sector implemented the arrangement of educational institutions, rearranged staff and solved the teacher shortage situation in some subjects, Ms. Hau enthusiastically welcomed her return to teaching.

Eager to return to the profession
On August 20, Ms. Dinh Thi Hau wrote a letter of resignation from the position of Vice Principal, returning to directly teach Literature at Dong Bac Primary & Secondary School.
In the application, she affirmed that arranging, streamlining the apparatus and using the staff effectively is a necessary requirement.
After considering the reality of the unit and personal wishes, she voluntarily asked to return to work as a teacher.
It is not simply voluntary in response to industry requirements, but like a return to professional youth.
She once shared that she and her colleagues are ready to take on new tasks because they are all aimed at students.
For her, the position can change, but the purpose of a professional is not.

After 27 years, Ms. Dinh Thi Hau returned to Literature, to her students and to the fire of her profession that was once ignited from the days of wading through villages to find each student to class.
Perhaps what a teacher wants most is still to stand in front of students, open a page of books and continue to teach with all their heart.
