A locality plans to reduce 750 principals after arranging educational institutions
On August 9, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen signed and issued a plan to arrange public preschool, general education, vocational education - continuing education centers in the area.
According to the plan, the whole city has 1,156 public preschool, general education, vocational education - continuing education centers. After arrangement, the expected number will be reduced to 406 educational institutions.
Arrange general education institutions, specialized education institutions, and public vocational education - continuing education centers directly under the Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) from 108 institutions to 99 institutions, reducing 9 institutions.
Meanwhile, arranging educational institutions directly under the People's Committees of communes and wards from 1,048 institutions to 307 institutions, reducing 741 institutions. The arrangement ensures that each commune-level administrative unit has one kindergarten, one primary school and one secondary school or one educational institution with multiple levels of education (primary and secondary school).
Regarding the personnel arrangement plan, for educational institution management officials, after arrangement, the whole city will arrange 406 principals (a reduction of 750 people) and 1,240 vice principals (a reduction of 330 people). See more...
Suspension of Director of Tuyen Quang Department of Education and Training
On August 9, Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Phan Huy Ngoc signed Decision No. 2013/QD-UBND on temporarily suspending Mr. Vu Dinh Hung - Director of Tuyen Quang Provincial Department of Education and Training.
The temporary suspension period starts from August 10, with a term of no more than 30 working days.
The temporary suspension is implemented based on the proposal of the Inspection Committee of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee in Document No. 624 dated August 7 and Conclusion No. 1144 dated August 9 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee on personnel work. On August 9, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province said that it is waiting for the opinion of the Ministry of Education and Training on the form of handling for the remaining candidate among the 6 candidates identified as being related to negativity in the graduation exam at the Le Truc High School exam site.
Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province determined that 6 candidates at the Le Truc High School exam site violated the exam regulations, based on the verification results of the Investigation Security Agency of the Provincial Police.
The provincial exam council has agreed to cancel the exam papers and subjects of 5 candidates according to regulations. These candidates will have to wait until the next year's exam to take the exam again.
