On July 16, Thai Bao Nghi - an 18-year-old female student in Dong Ha ward (Quang Tri province) looked up her high school graduation exam scores and burst into happiness when she achieved a high score, especially in Literature 9.75 points. In this exam, there are quite a few students nationwide who have achieved 9.75 points in Literature, but none have achieved 10 points.
Bao Nghi said that since grade 7, she has been reading more novels and works outside of the program to expand her understanding and practice her speaking style. Along with her passion for literature, Bao Nghi has a habit that few of her peers maintain regularly: spending time watching news and reading news in newspapers and social networks every day.
"From a young age until now, I have loved watching news, there are many things that I initially did not fully understand, but gradually I have grasped the situation of life and society at home and abroad. I think that is why I feel very confident when I write this year's thesis, Bao Nghi shared.
This year, the Literature exam raises the issue of citizens' responsibility towards their homeland and country. Bao Nghi assessed the exam as open and not narrow for young people, so candidates have many ways to reason and contact. I really like the exam questions because they are closely linked to life and create opportunities for candidates to express their personal opinions, Bao Nghi said.
Outside of school hours, Bao Nghi often participates in charity activities, and works with schools to implement programs to support children in remote areas. Last year, I was a member of the volunteer team of the Festival for Peace held in my hometown. Through the trips, I have a more multidimensional view of society, the past, present and the future of the country.
