At the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son - Deputy Minister of Education and Training presented the Decision to recognize Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong to hold the position of Director of the National Economics University.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son shared: "After nearly 70 years of construction and development, the National Economics University has become one of the leading centers for training, research, and consulting on economic policies - management in the country... During the past term, the University has had many breakthroughs in both scale and quality of training, scientific research, knowledge transfer, localization and innovation of university governance.
In particular, an important historical milestone was the Government's approval of the University to change its organizational model from the University to the University in November. 2024 - a testament to the outstanding maturity in academics, autonomy and aspiration to rise up of all staff, lecturers and students".
The Deputy Minister said that a large university cannot be without a team of brave leaders with vision, enthusiasm and organizational capacity.
"The fact that Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong is trusted to hold the position of Director of the university is not only a testament to his personal capacity, but also demonstrates the solidarity and great expectations of the University and the trust of the state management agency" - Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son emphasized.
In his new position, the Deputy Minister hopes that Mr. Bui Huy Nhuong will inherit core values, promote governance innovation, modernize universities, promote autonomy associated with social responsibility and build a team of professional staff. At the same time, creating a dynamic academic - entrepreneurial ecosystem, arousing the spirit of opening up and citizen awareness among students.
At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - Former Director of the National Economics University - expressed: "At the end of my term, I was really moved to return to being a lecturer - returning to a familiar lecturer, where I have nurtured the first steps in my career that I have always cherished".
Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong said that under the leadership of Associate Professor Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, the team of dedicated leaders and a team of united pedagogical staff, the National Economics University will continuously develop, maintain its pioneering position and affirm its stature as a leading university in Vietnam and the region.
At the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong - Director of the National Economics University - shared: "Becoming Director of the National Economics University is a great honor, at the same time a challenging responsibility that I will strive to contribute with all my intelligence, enthusiasm and service spirit to respond to the trust of the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as the affection and trust of generations of leaders and the school's pedagogical community".

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong was born in 1973, a former student of the 32nd course of Economics at the National Economics University; graduated with a Master's degree in Business Administration from Boise University, USA in 1997, successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Economics at the National Economics University in 2007.
He was promoted to the title of Associate Professor in 2011 and was awarded the title of Meritorious Teacher by the State in 2020, currently a senior lecturer of the School.
