The 9th National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education" - 2026 is organized to honor authors and groups of authors with many excellent journalistic works written in the field of education and training; recognizing the contributions of typical collectives and individuals to the cause of education of the country.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Award - shared: "Education is always the cause of the Party, the State and the entire people. Each policy, each innovation of the Education sector can only go into life when it receives the companionship, sharing and supervision of society.
In that journey, the press is always an important bridge between the Education sector and the people; it is an information channel reflecting objective reality, spreading good values, and contributing to detecting issues raised for management agencies to continue to improve policies".
According to him, the National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education" is not only an activity to honor excellent journalistic works written about education but also a forum to recognize the companionship, responsibility and dedication of journalists to the cause of "cultivating people".
Through the Award, we want to continue to spread the achievements of the Education sector; honor typical collectives and individuals; discover and multiply beautiful stories, innovative initiatives, and examples of dedicated dedication to students and the development of the country...
Multi-dimensional perspectives, valid proposals and suggestions from the press not only contribute to creating social consensus but are also a valuable source of practical information for management agencies to research and improve mechanisms and policies, thereby improving the quality and effectiveness of the education and training career" - Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi expressed.
Journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam - Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper, Standing Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee - said that the National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education" 2026 is for press works published in press types licensed and published domestically and abroad by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the posting and broadcasting period is from September 5, 2025 to the end of September 4, 2026.
Works considered for award must ensure no copyright disputes from the time of announcement.
The works must be expressed in Vietnamese, published in newspapers licensed and published domestically and abroad by competent authorities, meeting the regulations of the Regulations.
Solution structure:
The National Press Award "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education" in 2026's prize structure includes:
01 Special Prize received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training.
Prizes for each category include: 01 First Prize, 02 Second Prizes, 03 Third Prizes and a number of Consolation Prizes.
Typical character award in the winning work (02 characters).
Each award will include:
National Press Award symbol "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education
Certificate from the Ministry of Education and Training.
Cash bonuses:
Special prize: 60 million VND; First prize: 30 million VND; Second prize: 15 million VND; Third prize: 10 million VND; Consolation prize: 5 million VND.
Typical characters in the winning works are awarded the symbol "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education" and a gift (or cash) worth: 10 million VND.
The closing and award ceremony will be held on November 14, 2020 (expected).
