The Academy of Journalism and Communication plans to enroll a total of 2,400 students, of which 2,050 are for regular university admission to the first university degree and the rest are for the second degree program.
The school enrolls 32 majors and training majors, divided into 4 groups: Journalism and Publishing; majors in political theory and social work, economics; majors in History; majors in communications, advertising, international relations and other majors.
Regarding admission methods, the school remains stable as last year, including 3 methods: considering academic records, combined admission and considering based on high school graduation exam scores. However, the ratio of quotas between the methods has changed, specifically:
With the method of considering transcripts, the school plans to reserve 20% of the total quota and consider high school academic results for all 6 semesters.
Combined admission accounts for 30% of the school's total enrollment quota, for candidates with an international English certificate IELTS 6.5 and other equivalent certificates, a minimum SAT certificate of 1200/1600; an average score of 7.0 or higher for all 6 semesters of high school; and good conduct in high school.
The method that the school has the most quotas for is still considering the results of the high school graduation exam with a rate of 50%. Notably, the Academy accepts the conversion of English scores for candidates with English certificates. The converted English scores will be combined with the high school graduation exam scores to form a subject group for admission.

Regarding the scoring principles, in the methods, the school applies a coefficient of 2 points for Literature for majors in group 1, History for majors in group 3 and English for majors in group 4.
In addition, the Academy also announced the thresholds to ensure input quality and conditions for receiving application documents. Candidates must have a GPA of 6.5 or higher for all 3 years of high school and a Good or higher rating for conduct.
Candidates applying for the review of academic records and for the combination of majors in group 1 must have an average score of 6 semesters in Literature of at least 7.0. Candidates applying for the Publishing major, specializing in Publishing Editing in group 1; Sociology in group 2 and majors in group 4 must have an average score of 6 semesters in English of 7.0 or higher.
For independent candidates, the school only accepts applications from candidates graduating in 2023 and 2024; it does not accept applications from candidates graduating in previous years.
The Academy of Journalism and Communication also applies preferential policies, including direct admission, priority admission and bonus points when considering admission. Students and parents can see the school's detailed announcement HERE.
