On September 11, Mr. Dinh Ong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Somei commune (Gia Lai) - said that on the morning of the same day, the locality coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to work with Dak Somei Primary School to solve the shortage of textbooks and subject books for students.
"Up to now, the school has been fully equipped with a set of textbooks "Connecting knowledge with life" for all students. As for the missing textbooks, the locality has a support plan and will soon add them to ensure their learning," said Mr. Dinh Ong.

According to Mr. Dinh Ong, after receiving support from individuals and organizations, the school quickly distributed it to ensure that each student had a set of textbooks, and announced that it would stop receiving additional books.
Previously, Facebook appeared information about Mr. Nguyen Xuan Luan - Principal of Dak Somei Primary School (Dak Somei Commune, Gia Lai Province) - posting information calling on schools and donors to support textbooks for students.
In the appeal, Mr. Luan said that in the 2025-2026 school year, the school will have 1,050 students with 31 classes, more than 1,000 of whom are Ba Na and Mong ethnic people. However, about 60% of students lack textbooks, and in some classes, almost none of them have enough sets of books to study.
"After the information was posted, schools and donors joined hands to support most of the missing textbooks. The scene only lacks about 300 volumes in the subjects of Physical Education, Music, Fine Arts and English...", said Mr. Luan.
According to Mr. Luan, parents bought all the subjects for their children. However, most of the school's students are children of ethnic minorities, with difficult economic conditions, and limited parents' care. Therefore, many classes have to arrange for 2-3 students to study a book together, so that their studies are not interrupted.
