On March 20, regarding the information reflected by Lao Dong Newspaper, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province said that it had sent a document to the Provincial Police requesting coordination to verify and handle the activity of advertising and selling exam preparation materials for recruiting education officials on social networks.
According to the Department of Education and Training, recently, on social networking platforms, especially Facebook, many accounts, pages and groups have appeared posting information advertising the sale of "exam preparation materials for recruiting education officials in Quang Tri province", accompanied by advertisements and invitations to participate in paid exam preparation classes.
Through monitoring, the Department of Education and Training found that the documents being advertised for sale online are not official documents related to the 2025-2026 school year civil servant recruitment of the province.
The sale of materials and the organization of exam preparation counseling without official content from competent authorities shows signs of taking advantage of the needs and psychology of candidates to illegally profit.
The Department of Education and Training also believes that this activity potentially causes economic damage to people, and at the same time affects the prestige of state management agencies, causing negative public opinion among teachers and candidates.
To promptly prevent and handle violations (if any), ensuring the seriousness, publicity, and transparency of the education public employee recruitment period, the Department of Education and Training requests the Quang Tri Provincial Police to direct functional units to verify and review accounts, social networking sites, related organizations and individuals.
In which, focus on clarifying the content, methods of operation, origin of documents and transactions related to the sale of exam preparation materials. In case of detecting violations, it is proposed to strictly handle them according to legal regulations, especially for acts such as fraud and appropriation of property, providing false information, causing confusion or taking advantage of cyberspace for personal gain.
In addition, the Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Education and Training and relevant agencies to strengthen propaganda and warnings to people and teachers about acts of fraud and profiteering related to the recruitment of educational officials.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, many Facebook pages advertised exam preparation materials for sale at prices of about 350,000 VND/set, attracting teachers to buy.
However, the Department of Education and Training affirmed that this is not an official document, and at the same time requested the Police to verify and warn candidates to be cautious and avoid being scammed.
