The entrance exam for grade 10 at Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted in the 2025-2026 school year will take place from June 1-3. Of which, the Math exam day, for candidates taking the Math exam and the Math exam, had 227 candidates attending.
The Math exam has 6 questions, specifically question 6 has shortcomings in Point b as follows:
Immediately after receiving the feedback, the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc held a meeting with the leaders of the Council to prepare the exam and the Teachers' Group to prepare the specialized Math exam, requesting a report on the content of the reflection on the specialized Math exam for the 10th grade entrance exam.
According to the report, question 6 (1.0 points) with meaning a (0.75 points) was determined to be accurate. However, idea b (0.25 points) - the requirement to prove that "2025 is the CVP number" - is concluded to be inaccurate.
Immediately afterwards, the Department of Education and Training decided to temporarily suspend tasks related to the 10th grade enrollment work for the 2025-2026 school year for three teachers in the Math Subject Development Team to verify and clarify their responsibilities according to regulations.
At the same time, the Department established a special Math grade assessment team consisting of 6 teachers with good expertise from Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted and 3 core teachers from high schools in the province to review, evaluate exam questions, answer and propose handling plans, and report to the Department's leaders.
Based on the proposal of the Score Team, the Score Council agreed to keep the overall score of the question unchanged but adjusted the composition scores of idea a and idea b in question 6.
Accordingly, converting 0.25 points of intention b to intention a, therefore, if the candidate can do intention a, they will receive a maximum of 1.0 points (the entire score of question 6); If the candidate cannot do intention a; only do intention b and prove that "2025 is not a CVP" will get 0.25 points.
After agreeing on the above scoring plan and being approved by the Department of Education and Training, the new Math scoring team will conduct the scoring of the candidate's exam.
The leader of the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Phuc said that the grading plan decided by the Department of Education and Training is to ensure the goal of selecting good and quality candidates to enroll at Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted.
