At the opening ceremony of the new school year 2024-2025 of Bac Lieu University on November 19, Mr. Ngo Vu Thang - Vice Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee - assessed that in recent times, the school has achieved a number of outstanding results in administration, training, scientific research, quality assurance...

According to Bac Lieu University, the rate of graduates with jobs suitable to their majors increased from 92% (2023) to 97% (2024). "That result partly solves the difficult problem of university development in the province in accordance with the orientation of the socio-economic development pillars that the province has identified," Mr. Thang emphasized.
The Vice Chairman of Bac Lieu province also acknowledged that the reality is that the province's university education is still facing difficulties, with a lot of work to do ahead, typically in terms of enrollment and the school's training scale.

Mr. Thang cited that in the past 3 years, the number of high school graduates in the province has been about 6,000 students each year. Meanwhile, each year, Bac Lieu University only recruits about 700 students from within the province, or just over 10%, which is something to consider.
In the coming time, the Vice Chairman of Bac Lieu province requested the school to immediately overcome shortcomings and limitations, focus on implementing well the teaching and training of the province's potential advantages, especially high-tech agriculture.
Mr. Thang also told the students to continue to study hard, practice ethics, lifestyle, physical strength, and build their own discipline to be able to graduate with high results, meet the expectations of their families and society, and especially have the ability to meet future job needs.
Dr. Phan Van Dan - Principal of Bac Lieu University - said that the total number of students in the school is about 3,000.
In the 2024-2025 school year alone, there are nearly 800 new students. Among them, there are university education students who passed the entrance exam with a fairly high score of 26.2 points. This is the highest score after a year of the school opening a new pedagogical major to contribute to creating a source of teachers for the province and the Ca Mau peninsula.

Previously, on November 18, Bac Lieu Vocational College opened the new school year. Bac Lieu Vice President Ngo Vu Thang highly appreciated the fact that most of the graduates have jobs, but the school also needs to attract more students, especially after receiving the decision to meet the standards for quality accreditation of vocational education institutions.
