On September 27, the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Thanh Hoa issued an official dispatch requesting educational institutions in the province to let students from preschool to high school stay home from school on September 29, 2025 to ensure safety when storm No. 10 makes landfall.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards; heads of affiliated units to seriously implement Official Dispatch No. 23/CD-UBND dated September 26, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on proactively responding to storm No. 10; Official Dispatch No. 1638/CD-BGDDT dated September 25, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training; and the conclusion of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the meeting on the morning of September 27, 2025.
Localities and units must closely monitor the developments of storm No. 10, absolutely do not be negligent or subjective; be ready to immediately deploy response measures with the most drastic spirit, early, from afar, at the highest level. At the same time, develop a plan to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and educational management staff, minimizing damage caused by the storm.
The Department of Education and Training requires notification to all preschool and primary school students to have school days off on September 29, 2025 (Monday). From September 30, 2025, educational institutions will base on the actual situation of the storm and the post-storm circulation to report to the People's Committees of communes, wards and the Department of Education and Training, deciding to let students continue their studies if necessary.
Along with that, schools must review, inspect and strengthen facilities, especially at small schools in remote areas, where there is a risk of landslides and flooding; move assets, machinery, equipment, tables, chairs, and records to safe places.
Schools and educational institutions must be ready to receive people to take shelter from the storm when ensuring safety; urgently overcome damage, clean up and sanitize schools immediately after storms, ensure cleanliness and prevent epidemics.
