On the morning of July 2nd, Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training announced the summary results of the 2026 High School Graduation Exam and recognition.
This year, the whole province has 40,652 candidates taking the high school graduation exam. Of which, the high school system has 34,765 candidates, and the continuing education system has 5,887 candidates.
The average exam score of Thanh Hoa province reached 5.889 points, ranking 11th/34 provinces and cities. Among the exam subjects, Industrial Technology has the highest average score with 7.200 points; followed by Literature 7.003 points, Agricultural Technology 7.022 points, Informatics 6.471 points.
Some other subjects have average scores such as: Math 5.374 points; Physics 5.719 points; Chemistry 6.163 points; Biology 5.906 points; History 6.237 points; Geography 5.089 points; Economic and Legal Education 4.992 points; English 4.824 points.
According to the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, the whole province has 383 perfect scores at the 2026 high school graduation exam.
In which, Mathematics has 188 scores of 10, ranking 9th nationwide; Physics has 17 scores of 10, ranking 3rd nationwide; Chemistry has 31 scores of 10, ranking 4th nationwide; History has 130 scores of 10, ranking 7th nationwide.
Biology has 5 scores of 10; Geography has 2 scores of 10; Economic and legal education has 1 score of 10, ranked first nationwide; English has 8 scores of 10; Agricultural technology has 1 score of 10.
In traditional exam blocks, Thanh Hoa has 3 candidates achieving 29.75 points, being the national runner-up and also the valedictorian of block A of the province. The candidates include: Pham Dang Dat, student of Cam Thuy 2 High School, achieving Math 10, Physics 9.75, Chemistry 10; Dang Dai Lam, student of Thieu Hoa High School, achieving Math 10, Physics 10, Chemistry 9.75; Khuong Huy Vinh San, student of Le Van Huu High School, achieving Math 10, Physics 9.75, Chemistry 10.
The valedictorian of block B of the province is student Ngo Duy Luong, Yen Dinh 1 High School, achieving 29.5 points with Math 9.5, Chemistry 10, Biology 10.
The valedictorian of block C is Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Bim Son High School, achieving 28.25 points with Literature 8.75, History 9.75, Geography 9.75.
Block D has 2 candidates who both achieved 28 points, including Tran Van Duong and Nguyen Thu Hue, students of Lam Son High School for the Gifted, with scores of Math 9.5, Literature 8.75, English 9.75.
Regarding preliminary high school graduation recognition in 2026, Thanh Hoa has 40,392/40,652 candidates passing graduation, reaching a rate of 99.36%.
The whole province has 186 candidates exempted from all exams in the graduation consideration. Among these, 180 candidates are people with particularly severe disabilities and people with severe disabilities, ensuring the conditions according to the Exam Regulations. In addition, there are 6 candidates participating in the national team selection exam to participate in the international and regional Olympics in cultural subjects in 2026 who are exempted from the exam according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
In addition, 59 candidates were specially graduated. Among them, 58 cases were sick or injured not more than 10 days before the exam date; 1 case was sick after taking the Literature exam and could not continue taking the exam. These cases are all considered based on dossiers and conditions according to the current Exam Regulations.
This year, the subject of Economic and Legal Education only recorded 2 exam papers achieving 10 points nationwide, 1 belonging to Thanh Hoa and 1 belonging to Hung Yen, a sharp decrease compared to 1,451 10 points in 2025. The remaining 32 provinces and cities did not have any exam papers achieving 10 points in this subject.
