Teachers are not only the ones who impart knowledge but also the pioneers, creators of knowledge, ready to commit and dedicate themselves.

On November 19, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture celebrated the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024).

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan - Director of Vietnam Academy of Agriculture - said that generations of teachers, officials, civil servants and workers have made tireless efforts to build and develop the Academy with both intelligence and compassion.

The Academy has trained tens of thousands of highly qualified engineers, bachelors, veterinarians, masters, and doctors for the country. The Academy has also contributed many scientific and technical advances and valuable plant and animal breeds to the development of the country and the agricultural sector.

Throughout history, teachers have not only been the ones imparting knowledge but also the pioneers, creators of knowledge, ready to commit and dedicate themselves for the benefit of learners and the common good of society.

The Director of the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture affirmed that education is not only about imparting knowledge but also about building and nurturing personality, love for the profession, and the desire to contribute to the homeland.

In particular, in the context of current integration and development, before the requirements of the 4.0 revolution, the period of strong digital transformation, the role of the intellectual team, the role of teachers, teachers becomes more important than ever. Teachers at universities both perform the duties of a teacher, a teacher, and a scientist, creating and innovating day and night to have new research, serving training, serving society better.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan believes that, facing the new challenges of the new period and era, teachers need to make more efforts in teaching, scientific research, transferring science and technology into production and devoting themselves to a bright future for the Academy, actively contributing to the development of agriculture and rural development.

"The career of cultivating people has never been an easy path. But with love for the profession, perseverance and a heart always turned towards the young generation, I believe that together we will overcome all challenges, reap new achievements, and contribute to building an increasingly developed Academy and an increasingly strong agriculture" - Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan emphasized.

The era of Industry 4.0, knowledge economy, digital technology and artificial intelligence also poses many challenges to the teaching profession, to engineers at heart. However, with their passion, enthusiasm, intelligence and courage, the teachers of Vietnam National Academy of Agriculture are firmly following in the footsteps of the previous generation, continuing the golden history of the Academy's tradition of more than 68 years.

"For us, teachers are not only those who impart knowledge but also those who accompany us. It is the dedication, enthusiasm and love of teachers that have inspired in us a passion for learning, perseverance and faith in the future.

"Teachers not only teach knowledge but also inspire, guide and orient us to improve ourselves and be ready to step into life" - Hoang Long said.
