On June 29, at the third session (specialized session) of the 11th Da Nang City People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, delegates voted to approve the Resolution on the number of labor contracts performing professional and nghiệp vụ work at public educational and training non-business units in the city in the 2026 - 2027 school year.
According to Da Nang City People's Committee, in the 2026 - 2027 school year, the number of students and the number of classes in the city continue to have a significant increase trend. Specifically, the scale at public schools under the Department of Education and Training increased by 9,241 students (equivalent to an increase of 139 classes); public schools under the management of commune and ward People's Committees increased by 8,798 students (equivalent to an increase of 379 classes) compared to the 2025 - 2026 school year.
While the scale of students is increasing rapidly, the number of employees assigned (staff) at public educational institutions has not yet met the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. The shortage of targets for employees in professional and nghiệp vụ positions has caused certain difficulties for the organization of teaching and learning in localities.
To promptly solve the problem of human resource shortage and ensure teaching conditions for the new school year, the Resolution of the Da Nang City People's Council unanimously decided that the total number of labor contracts performing professional and nghiệp vụ work in the 2026 - 2027 school year is 3,319 contracts.
The number of these contracts is specifically allocated to groups of units including: 531 contracts for public educational and training non-business units directly under the Department of Education and Training. 2,788 contracts for public educational and training non-business units directly under the People's Committees of communes and wards.
In addition to supplementing targets, recruitment and labor contract implementation are also required to be strictly implemented to ensure maximum benefits for workers.
The City People's Council assigned the Da Nang City People's Committee to direct the Department of Education and Training, People's Committees of districts, towns, communes, and wards to carry out recruitment work on the principle of publicity, transparency and objectivity.
To create stability for the team and encourage workers to stick with the profession, the city will apply a priority policy of continuing to sign labor contracts for cases that have signed contracts in the 2025 - 2026 school year and are assessed by the employer as completing tasks well or better.
